🦉 Siberian chiffchaff (Phylloscopus (collybita) tristis)

• ollybita collybista (lat.), kollybistēs, kollybos (Greek) money changer, small coin (name - for a song similar to the sound of falling coins)
• tristis sad, gloomy, mournful

This species of bird arrives as the very first of the genus of these birds (Phylloscopus)
Already around the end of April every year I hear their cheerful (despite their name “gloomy”) songs. By the way, it is the Siberian subspecies that differs from the common by the presence of a long, coherent song.

What is noteworthy is that it flies away much later than other species of these birds. Even in early or mid-autumn, this species can be found together with other species of wintering birds such as tits or nuthatches, wandering together through the forest. The remaining species of these birds migrate early, and at the end of August they are no longer in the forest.
