🦉 The common reed bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus)

I saw these birds only three times, they are so incredibly rare in my city. And this happened on the coastal areas near the river, on both sides. There are many bushes growing there, in which I found these birds. The bird is very shy, and it took me about an hour to take this photo.

But in the neighboring region, in the steppe zone in the meadows, I meet them every year. In small quantities. And I noticed that in the spring the male likes to climb higher, to the very tops of the bushes, to demonstratively sing mating songs.
