🦉 The western yellow wagtail (Motacilla flava)

• Motacilla lat .: mōto, mōtare move continuously, -cilla tail (cilla like a tail - only in ornithology, erroneous established name)
• flava flavus (lat.) yellow, gold, golden yellow

These bright yellow birds appear around the beginning of May, starting on the 10th. They fly to the very outskirts of my city, where a large river flows and where there are meadows. Sometimes they can be seen on the other side of the river, near the coast near the forest, but as a rule, there they are simply looking for food among the grass and bushes.

Their main place of residence is, of course, a meadow. And while it is spring and there is no dense vegetation, these bright birds are clearly visible in the middle of the light brown meadow.
And you know, after so many years of life, the birds have apparently gotten used to seeing people, so you can photograph them without any problems at a close distance of about 10 meters. However, in the same meadow there is a small place where the fishermen have set up a gazebo, a table with a bench for rest, and something like a small vegetable garden. So in this place these wagtails are not at all afraid of people. Every time I come to this place and sit on a bench, wagtails literally walk a meter away from me, they are busy searching for insects.
