🦉 The European goldfinch or simply the goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis)

In winter, I don’t often manage to capture these cute colorful birds. Yes, they fly through the forests in noisy flocks, but they prefer to be at the very tops of tall trees, or even fly past.
And I’ll be lucky if they come down to look for seeds that have fallen from the trees onto the snow, or to taste their favorite dish - thistles. But they don’t eat it often in winter, since it is already pretty dried out, and in principle, the seeds of this plant are eaten by them even before the onset of winter.
