馃 The wood warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix)

  • Phylloscopus - Greek: phyllon foliage, skopos seeker, observer
  • sibilatrix - lat.: sibilare to whistle, hiss; sibilatrix whistler

Oh, this is another new bird for me, which I didn鈥檛 learn about when I met in the forest, but just now.
I thought that this was a willow warbler quite common in the forest, but the photo was taken in the fall, when they had already flown away. And I was also confused by the colors of the plumage. This bird has a yellow eyebrow and the upperparts are greenish rather than yellow. These differences are so insignificant and small that you simply won鈥檛 notice them.

The bird was jumping through the low bushes in the old cemetery. It was still warm then and there were insects that she feeds on. But I am sure that this bird was just passing through, in the process of migration.
Looks like I need to look through all my photos, maybe I missed some new species of birds or confused them with others.
