🦉 The long-tailed tit or long-tailed bushtit (Aegithalos caudatus)
- Aegithalos (Greek): tit
- caudatus (lat.): tailed
One day in the summer I was walking in some wilds of the forest near a tributary of a river hidden by thickets and leaves. And I heard the squeaky calls of these cute birds. Of course, there were several of them, these were parents and their children, and knowing their social background, I can assume that maybe they were just friends.
There were bushes with buckthorn growing along the river, and I waited for the birds to fly in and sit on the branches to get beautiful pictures. These charmers do not eat berries, they search them and the leaves under which small insects hide, especially aphids.
