🦉 The common greenshank (Tringa nebularia)

• Tringa tryngas (Greek) thrush-sized water bird in Aristotle's texts
• nebularia nebula (lat.) fog, haze (name - for foggy marshy habitats)

I don't often see these long-legged pinocchios. Mostly near the river I see sandpipers of other species, but these appear very rarely. About once every 2-3 years.
They are incredibly shy. If I can get even a little closer to others, then these, barely noticing my movement, immediately fly away.

Therefore, I have to hide, fortunately there are bushes along the shore where this can be done.
The photographs were taken at the intersection of two rivers, where the small one flows into the big one, and sandpipers like to rest on the rocks and shore there.
