This is a very difficult bird to watch. This chicken is like a ninja, secretive and silent. She even runs without making the slightest noise. I mean, when you walk through the forest in the fall, you hear small birds like nuthatch or tit swarming among the fallen dry leaves and jumping on it. But the hazel grouse is able to quickly run through such foliage without making sounds.

The only sound that comes from this bird is its call. Unintelligible whistling. You can attract a bird if you turn on the sounds of this bird on your phone speaker. The bird will be interested and may look for the source of the sound, but do so secretly and carefully.
