🦉 The azure tit (Cyanistes cyanus)

This is a rather rare species of tit in my region, and it occurs to me very rarely and by chance. I first met this bird in February 2018. A pair of these birds flew from bush to bush near an ice-free river. And I had to struggle through waist-deep snow to get to them to take this photo above.

And that same year I was lucky, I very often met these birds in spring, summer, and autumn. But then there was a big break until the fall of 2022. The appearance of these birds is unpredictable in my region. And the situation is completely opposite in the neighboring region, in the steppe zone. There, year after year, I meet them in the flooded meadows in the spring.
