Everyone knows these ducks. Everyone saw them in city ponds and rivers. There are even places in my city where these ducks are not at all afraid of people and you can approach them and feed them by hand.
In the wild, these ducks behave like wild animals, they are cautious and timid, which makes them more interesting to observe.
Around the end of August or beginning of September, these birds begin to migrate to warm countries. However, not everyone flies away. Those ducks that are accustomed to being fed by people do not fly away and remain to spend the winter. There are even cases where rescue services have to go to lakes to warm up ducks that are stuck to the ice.
