馃 The brambling (Fringilla montifringilla)

These birds appear in the forests of my city around the end of April. To be more precise, they fly in and stay to spend the mating season. But in general you can meet them earlier, so I met them in March, when there was a lot of snow and cool, a couple of these birds simply flew by.
After the mating season, these birds fly away. And judging by the fact that I found them in the coniferous forest in the summer, they gravitate towards them.
Sexual dimorphism, as you can see, is pronounced. Females are painted in pale, not bright colors, and males are bright orange and black. The voice of these birds, so to speak, is not something you really want to listen to. It's just a sharp, drawn-out buzz.
