With the advent of cold weather, at the very end of autumn, you can already wait for the arrival of these birds. They fly from the northernmost edges of the continent to the south, where it is warmer and there is food.

In large flocks, these birds raid trees with seeds. For example, they are very fond of birch seeds, and you can see them gutting birch catkins. They also sometimes go down from the trees to feast on wormwood seeds.
