🦉 The Siberian stonechat or Asian stonechat (Saxicola maurus)

📚 maurus (lat.): Moorish, black

Every time I walk through the meadows outside the city, I meet these birds. They are easy to find and always easy to see. The fact is that these birds are very fond of climbing to the very top of tall grass, low shrubs or flowers, and sit watching their territory.

And that is why these birds live only in open spaces. And you know what, it doesn't have to be meadows. Even a small lawn is enough for them in the forest. Occasionally I meet them in my favorite forest, where there are small open places, lawns.
