馃 The black kite (Milvus migrans)

馃摎 Milvus (lat) - kite
馃摎 migrans (lat.) - migrating

These birds of prey live throughout the city. And in the forests, and in parks, and by the river, and in the yards they can be seen. But it is in the meadows near the river that the most favorable place to observe them.

In the meadows they prey on small rodents. What I observed then. At first they flew around the meadow, and then they landed directly on the dug up ground.

Apparently they were waiting there for a rodent to appear. By the way, young hooded crows were also interested in this.

And nearby on the river, other kites were fishing. If you look closely, you can see a fish in its beak.
