πŸ¦‰ The Eurasian wigeon or European wigeon, also known as the widgeon or the wigeon (Mareca penelope)

πŸ“š Mareca marreco (port) duck; Marica (Roman mythology) river nymph
πŸ“š penelope PΔ“nΔ›lŏpΔ“, in ancient Greek. mythology Odyssey's wife, mother Telemachus

These cute ducks are not often seen. And this is due to the fact that they mainly live in the north. And during the migration, the ingda look into my city and forests. And this is either a large river that flows along the city, or a lake in a coniferous forest. There I constantly see them in the middle of autumn.

This duck feeds mainly on plant foods, so most often it swims near the shores, where waves nail various algae, rhizomes, and other aquatic plants.
