He pensado mucho en cuál anécdota contar hoy, pues recuerdo varias.
Welcome to my blog, dear friends, I am pleased to be here again to participate in the Father's Day initiative. This day should be celebrated, because this way we recognize the work and the fundamental role that the man of the house plays in our lives. In this sense, the idea of the
@home.solutions community seems perfect to me to commemorate this date.
I have thought a lot about which anecdote to tell today, as I remember several. After thinking about it, I decided to tell an event that happened at my grandmother's house when I lived there, the protagonist here is my uncle Anacleto.
I remember that on the night of December 23rd, my mother, my uncle's daughter and my grandmother agreed to get up early to wash all the clothes, as well as the sheets and tablecloths, a process that would take at least three washing machine cycles. The house was also going to be coleted, the kitchen cleaned, the dishes that would be used for Christmas Eve dinner were to be shined and, of course, the meals that would be prepared during the day were planned ahead of time. So the tasks were divided up, the main concern being the time available for water, since in the area it only arrived from 7 to 11 in the morning.
The next day, my uncle Anacleto got up first and decided to install some hoses in the second bathroom of the house, so when we woke up we were surprised to see him lying on the floor, pulling the plugs out of the pipes with a wrench while other tools were on the dining room table. He decided to turn off the stopcock to work more comfortably, so he left the house without water in the middle of Christmas Eve. That task had been given to my grandmother's brother who was a plumber and lived nearby, once he stored water in his house and proceeded to eat breakfast, he would take care of it. But my uncle was so sure of himself, his knowledge and skills with tools that we had no choice but to trust and wait.
Besides, he told us that this repair was extremely simple and he would finish it in minutes. Once the hoses were attached to the pipes, he opened the main faucet, with the novelty that the bathroom turned into a shower, the water had already reached the area and was spilling uncontrollably. Again he closed the stopcock and proceeded to check what he had done, the house was without water. An hour passed and we saw no progress, so we asked my uncle to put the plugs back in and turn on the water, that is, to forget about his good Christmas deed and leave everything as it was before, but he insisted that a few adjustments were needed.

After two hours I looked worried, by then the house was in chaos because every time I opened the faucet the puddles multiplied. I stared at the scene and couldn't help laughing. My mom and my cousin were furious, they couldn't find anything to do to calm down, but my grandmother was even worse, she put her hands on her head and left for the street without saying a word. After a while she appeared with Juvencho, her plumber brother, whom she asked to come urgently to help "the expert".
When he evaluated the situation, he couldn't believe it. He explained to Anacleto that he was putting a sink hose in the sink and a sink hose in the sink, without using Teflon and leaving the gaskets on the outside. In less than ten minutes Juvencho solved the problem, but the water flow was very weak and in moments it was gone. My uncle Anacleto had no choice but to go out to fetch water in the center of the city, he made about six trips before giving up due to exhaustion.
Afterwards, we took the food to Juvencho's house, there we prepared dinner and ate, all except my uncle Anacleto who went to bed at 7 o'clock hungry and with a sore back. Remembering what happened, we looked at each other's faces and the laughter came by itself.
