Rainy session

This morning I found a small window to run a 5k, it was raining quite a bit but that was oke, as I was wearing a running cap I was not too bothered with it.

After a few 100 meters I noticed my heartrate spiking way higher compared to what I expected. Not sure if that was a garmin glitch or just something stress related, but I decided to run a little more technical for the first 3km to see if everything was ok. It worked, higher cadance and more active support from arm movement made me both increase my speed a little and lowered my heartrate.

The last 2 kilometers I just tried to have some fun and run a little faster without overdoing it, so ran these around 4:30/km which felt good especially in the rain.

While I only ran 3x this week (sofar) I am already on my goal of gradually increasing my weekly milages by 10-20% (31 km this week vs 28km last week)

Should there be sufficient time I will try to squize in another recovery run in the weekend, otherwise still within target range!

While next week will be crazy busy again with the 7th chemo, that the kids are on school most days should allow me to run most days to recharge a little!
