Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the thirteenth chapter of my campaign in Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. I have officially kicked off my first long-term grand campaign playing as the Saito clan. While the overarching objectives in conquest mode are fundamentally straightforward—conquer and expand—rival factions are definitely not going to make it easy for me. In this sandbox mode, my immediate and most dangerous adversary is the Oda clan to the south, led by the formidable Oda Nobunaga.

I currently have several provinces under my control, but holding all of them is practically impossible because I lack sufficient troops, a truly robust economy, and worst of all, the Oda clan has launched a shockingly furious offensive right into my territory. Realizing I could not possibly save everything, I decided to abandon the remote Mino Sugihara province to its fate, sacrificing it to buy precious time. Instead, I concentrated all my remaining available troops just south of Mino Inabayama province to build a solid wall and prevent the Oda army from sacking my capital.

Along our contested border, a brutal and bloody clash has broken out without a definitive winner yet. My units of archers, infantry, and cavalry are putting up a ferocious fight, but they are running into serious tactical problems when engaging the enemy Teppo units. These matchlock firearm troops pack a massive punch and their ranged firepower is absolutely devastating! Holding this line will require every ounce of tactical discipline I have left.

¡Hola Gamers de Hive! Hoy les traigo el décimo tercer capítulo de mi campaña en Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. Acabo de dar inicio oficial a la campaña larga con el clan Saitō. Aunque los objetivos del modo conquista son en esencia sencillos —expandirse y dominar—, los clanes rivales no me lo van a poner nada fácil. En este modo sandbox, mi principal rival es el clan Oda al sur, liderado por el temible Oda Nobunaga.

Tengo varias provincias bajo mi control, pero me será totalmente imposible defenderlas todas porque no dispongo de tropas suficientes, mi economía aún no es del todo sólida y, por si fuera poco, el clan Oda ha lanzado una ofensiva feroz y muy veloz contra mi territorio. Al darme cuenta de que no podía protegerlo todo, tomé la dura decisión de abandonar la provincia de Mino Sugihara a su suerte para evitar perder efectivos valiosos. En su lugar, concentré a todas mis tropas al sur de la provincia de Mino Inabayama para impedir por completo que el ejército enemigo tome mi capital.

En la frontera de nuestros territorios se ha librado un enfrentamiento muy cruento sin que, hasta ahora, haya un ganador definitivo. Mis unidades de arqueros, infantería y caballería han tenido serios problemas al chocar contra las unidades Teppo del enemigo. ¡Estos soldados equipados con armas de fuego de avancarga son increíblemente destructivos y están destrozando mis líneas a distancia! Mantener esta posición requerirá de toda mi estrategia.
