Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the tenth chapter of my campaign in Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. Continuing right where we left off with the surprise attack at Okehazama, my main focus was to hunker down and stubbornly resist the brutal assault pounding against my northern castle, which I managed to hold off and contain quite decently.

Just in the nick of time, the long-awaited reinforcements for the surprise attack finally arrived down south! This meant I could finally transition from a defensive posture to launching a full-scale offensive in the south. Granted, by this point the enemy had already completely annihilated the lone, isolated infantry unit I had left down there as a decoy, but it mattered little—I now had plenty of fresh troops in the southern sector to storm the castle.

However, this sudden influx of a massive new military contingent caused a massive drop in my food supplies, draining a huge amount of rice per turn just to keep the troops fed and maintained. To solve this crisis before starvation set in, I took the trouble of investing in upgrading a northern village so it would boost its rice production per turn, balancing my economy and stopping the food drain. With supplies secured, I kicked off the southern assault, maneuvering my troops to close in on the enemy stronghold, capture the castle, and strip Imagawa Yoshimoto of his precious fortified base!

¡Hola Gamers de Hive! Hoy les traigo el décimo capítulo de mi campaña en Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. Continuando con el ataque sorpresa en Okehazama, me enfoqué por completo en resistir el asedio contra el castillo del norte, el cual logré contener de manera bastante decente.

Justo a tiempo, los refuerzos del ataque sorpresa llegaron por fin al sur, lo que significaba que por fin podría iniciar la ofensiva en ese sector. Para ser sinceros, a estas alturas ya habían destrozado por completo a la unidad de infantería solitaria que había dejado de cebo en esa zona, pero ya daba igual: ahora contaba con tropas suficientes en el sur para tomar el castillo de una vez por todas.

No obstante, la aparición repentina de este nuevo contingente provocó una caída drástica en mis reservas de alimentos, generando una pérdida enorme de arroz por turno debido a los costos de manutención de las tropas. Para evitar un desastre logístico, me tomé la molestia de invertir dinero en mejorar un pueblo al norte para que produjera más arroz por turno y así frenar la escasez. Con la economía estabilizada, comencé el ataque al sur, enfocando a mis tropas en aproximarse al castillo para capturarlo y dejar al mismísimo Imagawa Yoshimoto sin su preciada fortaleza.
