Front Lever Session at the Park
Not everything is about training blindly in the Shimazu Clan; sometimes we focus deeply on static strength, body control, and mastering technical elements like the front lever.
Greetings to everyone! On this occasion, several athletes from the clan gathered at the park in Estadio Independencia (recently renamed Estadio Ángel Remigio Hermoso). We were working through a front lever routine. While several of us can already execute a full front lever completely without issues—such as @psycho-yoseph and
@ciberman-76—some of us are still building our baseline strength with the front lever and its progressions.
Even though the park was very crowded by the afternoon, we decided to use the parallel bars to perform the progressions for this exercise. My partner @lfgarvetti and I chose to perform several holds and negatives in the advanced tucked front lever, while
@psycho-yoseph tackled the same exercises but also incorporated the half-lay front lever and pull-ups in that progression.
Right after finishing the front lever routine, I took care to properly stretch my shoulders, as I have been carrying some discomfort in those joints for a while. Stretching and lengthening are essential to prevent injuries in a sport as demanding as calisthenics. If you could support this post, whether with a comment or a reblog, we would greatly appreciate it to keep supporting our training equipment and projects.
