Greetings to all Hive users and SWC athletes! I hope you are doing wonderfully. On this occasion, I want to share with you an afternoon training session at the park, marked by a cloudy sky and a session focused on two of the most challenging elements of street workout: the Victorian Lever and the Front Lever SAT. I hope you like it!
Dear readers, I arrived at the park on an afternoon with the sky completely covered in gray clouds, creating a calm but also intense atmosphere, ideal for concentrating on training. As usual, I met several friends and teammates ready to give their all on the bars.
For this session, my main goal was to strengthen my progressions in both the Victorian Lever and the Front Lever with a super wide grip (SAT). Both are exercises that demand a lot of strength and control, and where the assistance of an elastic band is often a valuable tool for continuing to advance.
I started the routine with a couple of attempts at Front Lever and Victorian Lever on the free bar. The Front Lever is already a movement that I have quite mastered, being able to hold the horizontal position for several seconds without much difficulty. However, the Victorian remains a considerable challenge. Despite several attempts, holding the correct position without assistance is quite difficult for me, showing that I still need to continue working on the specific strength for this element.
Aware of the difficulty of the Victorian, I decided to use the help of an elastic band for the following sets. This allowed me to perform more repetitions and maintain proper form for a longer time, focusing on technique and the activation of the correct muscles. Each attempt, although assisted, brings me a little closer to total control of the movement.
Then, I moved on to the Front Lever SAT. This exercise is particularly demanding, as it requires a very wide grip, an extremely strong false grip, and impressive back strength. Even with the elastic band as assistance, managing to hold the position was a considerable challenge. However, with effort and concentration, I was able to hold the line for a couple of seconds, which I consider a small but significant advance in this complex movement.
This training session, although demanding, left me with a deep reflection on discipline and its countless benefits. Each attempt, each small improvement, is a testament to the power of consistency and dedication. The path to mastering advanced elements like the Victorian and the Front Lever SAT is long and requires patience, but the satisfaction obtained by overcoming each obstacle is unmatched. Discipline not only strengthens our body but also our mind and our perseverance, teaching us that with effort and focus, we can achieve goals that initially seem unattainable.
Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for the next posts! Until next time!
