Cold Iron Pull Session
On this occasion, I returned to the calisthenics park to train with my students in the morning.
Taking advantage of the fact that a friend of mine was also heading to the park to train, we went together on his motorcycle, so we arrived very early to complete the routine.
Once at the park, we focused on following the corresponding routine. Finally, we focused mainly on standard pull-ups on the high bar. I assigned my student a routine of close-grip pull-ups and supinated pull-ups, while I took the opportunity to perform wide-grip pull-ups and a few sets of muscle-ups. Curiously, due to the recent very rainy and cold weather, the bars were dry and cold, which caused the metal and rust to threaten to literally tear the skin off our hands. This situation made me laugh a lot at the moment, but it was nothing to worry about; we didn't cut ourselves or suffer the slightest injury.
To finish the session, I assigned my student wide-grip and close-grip Australian pull-ups. It was a good closing for this pull routine. I hope to soon assign a good back lever routine to my student.
Tackling a high-bar session in the wake of heavy rains introduces a unique challenge. When the iron is freezing and kissed by rust, grip strength is tested just as much as pulling power, demanding absolute focus with every rep.
Mixing heavy high-bar work with structured Australian pull-ups ensures balanced development for developing athletes. I hope these images capture the grit and atmosphere of our chilly morning at the bars.
I hope you enjoyed these photographs. Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts! Until next time!
隆Hasta la Pr贸xima!
