Sometimes it's crazy how something so easy to answer becomes really difficult especially when it's been presented directly to you as a question. Reminds me of the one time in high school when my class teacher had suddenly picked me out of everyone in the class and asked me what geography was.
Of course I knew the answer but for some strange reasons, it felt like my whole body refused to process the signal that my brain was sending to it, because I wanted to answer the question, I knew the answer to the question, but my lips refused to move. It got worse when he (the teacher) tried to make it easier for me and asked me to say anything at all that I know concerning the meaning of geography, and yet I had said nothing.
I remember after he asked me to sit down, I had placed my head on the desk and cried throughout the whole class. It's one thing to not know the answer to the question asked, it's another thing when you know the answer but can't say anything probably because you were scared.
Luckily for me, today's question has nothing to do with any of that, it's just a simple question about the cheapest food I've eaten and also the most expensive meal I've eaten. A pretty easy question if you ask me (although I am being asked lol), but tell me why it's taking me forever to think of a response, why?!
Anyways, let's start from the cheapest meal. This is probably the easiest to answer because I think I eat cheap meal almost everyday and the first thing that comes to mind is noodles, specifically indomie. There's this lady shop I go to all the time and sometimes even before I say anything, she already has her hand placed on the noodles, because I'm a regular customer.
Two indomie, one pepper and one boiled egg which price falls between 5 to 8 cents. This is always my go-to meal whenever I'm lazy to go to an eatery (which is far away) or cook (which I rarely do). So I always just get noodles, not to quench my hunger, but to buy myself more time to finally make up my mind on what to eat. And seeing how I'm always battling with what to eat on a daily basis, eating noodles has been a constant in my life and I'm getting tired and need help.. Lol
As for my most expensive meal, this was actually the hardest for me to think about because I basically eat the same kind of food every week, I just try to rotate them. So if I ate rice last week Sunday, I probably would eat it next Wednesday and then take last week's Wednesday menu to next week Sunday's.
So it's always the same food but on different days and being someone who doesn't go out, I don't eat at expensive restaurants where they cheat the hell out of you for a small meal and then you compensate yourself by saying that you're not paying for the food but for the style or whatever.
But if there was one time I did spend a good amount of money on a single meal, it would be the day I ordered a burger online for about $8 or $10..between those two prices. I remember after placing the order, I felt like that amount of money could have been used for something more important like getting myself a new car or building a mansion or something. It just felt like I was throwing a huge amount of money away.
But then the burger took about four hours to arrive and when I eventually had a taste of it, I realize that just like the guys who go to expensive restaurant for the style, the $8 dollar wasn't for just the burger alone, it was actually for the burger and the four hours waiting time because that burger wasn't worth $8. It was so annoying and disappointing that I haven't ordered another burger from any other store online ever since.
So yeah, there you have it. These are both my most expensive and my most cheapest meal ever, at least the ones I can remember for now.
