I hope you are all having fun. Today's post is somewhat different from the usual post. Every time you will see natural scenes or visit some place in my post. But today in my post I have added a few photographs of my favorite festival Uttarayan along with the photographs of the beautiful bird Pigeon sitting on the wall.
In India, the festival is celebrated with great pomp and variety. For example, if there is a festival of Diwali, children celebrate by bursting firecrackers. While women celebrate by making colorful rangoli in the courtyard of the house. All the members of the house get together and go to meet their relatives. And celebrate Diwali. When the festival of Holi is there, all the people celebrate the festival of Holi by applying color and gulal to each other. Today's post is about beautiful festival Uttarayan. In Uttarayan, people take the opportunity to fly kites from morning till evening.
Uttarayan festival in India is celebrated on 14th January every year. Kites have to be bought in preparation for Uttarayan. In Uttarayan, people also bring music systems on rooftops and enjoy flying kites while listening to music. The real fun of Uttarayan is to cut other people's kites flying in the sky. I loved Uttarayan since I was a child. I still like Uttarayan.
If Uttarayan is the worst it is for birds. Because there are many cases of the kite string hitting the bird's wing and the bird getting injured. Keeping this in mind, I avoid kite flying in the early morning and evening hours. Because during that time more birds are flying in the sky.
On the day of Uttarayana, a pigeon came and sat on the wall of my terrace. At that time I also had a camera so I captured that pigeon in my camera. The pigeon was sitting on the wall and looking around. It looked like it was considering which way to go. I captured many photographs of that pigeon which I am sharing here.
