Hello everyone 👋,
Please give it up for Bob and yours truly on this wonderful Caturday 😹; I earlier christened it- Bob on the blockchain day😹 as all kitties claw their way on to the blockchain.
It's been another ordinary day stepping it out. As always am grateful for this day, as I always say, there are many who wanted to see it but didn't, so we are definitely blessed💯. Thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including trending news from around the globe. Lets take it away 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. Today was much warmer than yesterday so I made the most of it in the fresh morning air🍃. Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a stop at the mall for groceries. After a bit of walking and window shopping, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of youtube.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹, the Congo peace talks still on going as peace is sought between the M23 rebels and Congolese forces.
Over at COP27 summit in Egypt,the negotiators are close to reaching a deal on climate financing. This issue has dominated the climate talks as poorer countries want the rich countries responsible for most of the emissions to pay their fair share of damage done.
Globally, Ukraine trending as UK PM Rishi Sunak stopped by in Kyiv for talks with president Zelensky. The UK pledged $60 million in military aid to help sustain attacks from Russia 💯.
Meanwhile, the first train from Kyiv to Kherson in nine months made its first trip as people with relatives in Kherson had a chance to visit.
Over in Malaysia, after yesterday's election. Early results are showing that the ruling coalition is losing to it's rivals. Ex-PM Mahathir Mohamed has lost his seat for the first time in 53 years 🙀. I guess changes are coming to Malaysian politics.
Finally, a festive mood fills Doha, Qatar as world cup fans trickled in👋. About 1.3 million fans are expected as the tournament kicks off tomorrow. The home team Qatar will go head to head with Ecuador.
You can try and guess the winner for 100 Afit 🎉. It's gonna be an exciting month, Nairobi and Doha times are the same so no getting up early or sleeping late like the world cup in Brazil in 2014.
