Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's a new week and I have had another great day, hopefully yours is coming along nicely. You know how we do, time to share my stepping activities of the day and also some of the trending stories I came across. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off early with the brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. A cloudy morning but lots of fresh air 🍃.
Next I was back indoors, where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹. Today was also World Malaria Day, good news as the number of cases have dropped fifty percent in the last decade, there is also a promising vaccine launched this year.
Globally, Ukraine trending as US secretaries of defense and state stopped by Kyiv in a show of support 🙏. Blinken is convinced that Russia has already failed. Meanwhile Russia, hit Ukrainian rail and fuel facilities. Elsewhere, Russia expelled 40 German diplomats in a tit for tat move😱.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin is up from 38k to 40k. Another trending story is that Elon Musk has eventually bought twitter 🐦 for $44 billion. Remember he already had 9% share, anyways let's wait and see what reforms he will undertake.
I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day.
Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the city centre 🌲 for a couple of errands. I walked around for a while before heading back home 🏡.
Next came the usual nap 💤. It was amazing and I got up some time early evening feeling great 💪. Then I continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Also trending, Turkish civil rights activist Osman Kavala has been sentenced to life imprisonment without parole😱. This for trying to overthrow the govt, definitely politically instigated. Elsewhere in Beijing people binge shopped for essential items as a lockdown looks possible due to rising covid cases 😱. Remember Shanghai is still under strict lockdown.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. It was amazing, I followed the usual route, around the neighborhood, to the park then back as darkness fell.
