Y mis amigas me abandonaron.

palomita.jpg

This heat is killing me, I can't find a place to crawl in, my little legs are burning. help!

At last I found this little shade under this palm tree, just enough to escape the sun, but it won't last long, or I'll move as the shade moves. There are those ducks over there, near the lagoon. How I would love to get in the water, it looks so refreshing. I don't really like to bathe, I usually get my head and wings wet in the fountains or in the little pools of water, but now I'd love to take a nice bath!

ducks.jpg

But those ducks are so dirty, they're so full of their filth, what a nuisance! I can't go through there, can you imagine! with my whiteness, dirtying myself with that...ugh, never, never, first I'd rather be parboiled than full of excrement. Oh God, when will they go away from there? The sun is hotter, it must be around noon. This summer has been strong. And my friends have abandoned me. Not to mention flying in this hot sun...I'd like to be on the water!

ducks 3.jpg

Somebody scare those ducks away. I wish a dog or a cat would come along...or better yet a hawk. Then they would fly away and leave the way clear for me. But I don't see anything around and those ducks don't seem to be moving from there. Oh, how hot! I'm sweating.
