So today, I've created a community dedicated to the cold exposure :) Since I'm just starting, and have no subscribers yet, I though I would bring the awareness of the cold therapy to an actual health-related community, that is thriving :)
In the recent days I've been having thoughts of coming back to posting, after years of inactivity. This has been mainly due to a constantly growing urge to do something meaningful, something that will make life better for other people.
A lot has changed in my life during the past three years. I met my second half, managed to create a neat source of income as a self-employed software developer, get out of debt and put some money aside for the first time of my life. I've been also educating myself, listening to people like Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Wim Hof, Russel Brand and more. Surely Wim Hof was the one who made the biggest impact on me. The breathing method which he invented and the cold exposure elevated my whole being and were the catalyst for the other health related changes. It's been proven that cold therapy can be a remedy not only for diseases affecting our bodies, but also our minds. It's a broad topic, with thousands of testimonies from people whose lives were positively affected by it, and it's being studied by the top science researches in the field.
It's now known, that only 20 seconds in an icy water (around 4 degrees Celsius) can reduce inflammation and boost dopamine levels by nearly 250%. Regular ice bathing makes you immune to illness, focused, more motivated, more aware of the present moment. The list goes on.
I've been very eager to find out if you guys have had any experience with cold and how did it affect your life? :)
I'm planning to write about my experiences and the science behind the whole thing on a regular basics. I'd also like, in the near future, to scratch something about the benefits of intermittent fasting diet, keto and regular exercise.
