Infiltrating the NATE Market for supplies, I encountered the building packed with infected. Using a combination of explosive knives, crossbow bolts, and high-ground positioning, I methodically cleared out all the infected before dropping down to scavenge the remaining area for loot.
Seeking useful supplies, I stepped into the dark interior of the NATE Market to search the premises. Moving through the entrance hall, I didn't see any loot immediately, so I began checking the surrounding rooms.
Spotting a crawlspace hole leading to an adjacent chamber, I peered through and caught sight of several infected lurking in the shadows.
I tried throwing a lure to draw them out, but when that failed, I crawled through the opening and engaged them directly, dropping two of the monsters before a third could react.
Realizing the entire building was infested, I looted the fallen infected and crept deeper into the structure.
Sneaking up on a lone infected, I executed a quiet stealth takedown, only to spot a massive swarm gathered in the main hall ahead.
Unwilling to charge into a direct melee, I reached into my pouch for crafted explosive knives. I threw one at the center of the group, that blew only that infected apart instantly, then I threw more to shatter the surrounding cluster.
As the survivors scattered, eerie growling and raspy coughing echoed through the dark halls, making the monsters sound almost like sick humans. And I used the crossbow to take the rest of the infected there.
Shaken by the noise, I scrambled onto a high ledge to gain a safe vantage point. From my perch, I spotted a booster around more infected below.
I aimed an explosive knife straight at the booster, detonating her on impact, then used crossbow bolts to pick off the remaining stragglers from above.
With the main room seemingly quiet, I climbed down to collect supplies from the ground and search the surrounding crates. Forgetting the danger for a second, I made a sharp noise while looting a shelf, instantly drawing the attention of two nearby infected.
I threw an explosive knife at the first one, that caught both in the blast radius. One infected survived the blast and pulled himself back up, but I loaded a crossbow bolt and put an end to him right away.
