I remember the time when you kept me from getting in trouble with the guard. That time you kept me from hurting myself.
Oh and I remember the time when you guided me away from those troublesome school friends.
People have always thought I was alone, but you have been my friend all this time.
Even when I did not know what to do and how to save myself. I could not save myself. You never could. You never pushed me, nor could you. I learned to live with myself. You never could make me do or believe things I did not want.
Others have come, they tried to control. Others have come they tried to change. You stayed and guided, you carved with the grain. Slowly but surely we have become lifelong friends.
If I can't call you my friend then I might as well be dead.
