A young man asked his grandfather, a retired doctor, what the most curious anecdote was from when he started working.

— At the end of my studies, I was sent to do an internship in a remote, somewhat backward country town.

— And what happened?

— My first case was a complicated, emergency delivery. I told the woman, “We need to give her anesthesia.” And she answered, a little confused, “What a shame. If it was a girl, I wanted to give her Rebecca, like my aunt.”
