Brief description of the daily life in the personal quarantine.

Day 594 since the declaration of quarantine in Venezuela due to the Covid19 pandemic, thanks to the Twitter account of the Stock Exchange I find out that it is Engineer's Day in Venezuela.
I have a certain particular thing with the engineering career, you see, as a child I considered being an engineer when I grew up, I spent my time playing building things and I saw that those who directed the construction of buildings, bridges and other works were engineers, it also happened to me that I watched science fiction movies and those who built the wonders of scientists were again the engineers, in short, as it was curious I checked in some encyclopedias that my grandmother had at home and I saw that there were many areas for engineering, being Civil Construction and Computing the ones that had caught my attention, in that encyclopedia I learned that engineers were also the ones who developed new engines and vehicles, new electrical devices and circuits, in short, a multitude of things. Those old volumes of encyclopedias were at that time the equivalent of my internet with a working search engine.
Growing up, I discovered that my talent for numbers was rather mediocre, my ability did not fit with what had been my childhood dream, but I learned many things along the way, then, when I entered the University, various things happened from accidents Or destiny and I did a career that I did not even know existed, however I enjoyed it and I completed it successfully. Despite that, I also passed it around the Faculty of Engineering and made a few friends there, in fact, I have in my memory being involved in the first internet laboratory of the School of Basic Engineering, it worked in the Electrical Engineering building and I spent several days a week stuck there upside down in 1996, if memory serves. It was not the first computer lab connected to the Internet in the University, but it was the first that I remember that it was available to any student of any school or college. There I learned and practiced with the old pure text browser and moved to iconic browsers, I saw the rise of Netscape and I immersed myself in learning the basics of web languages.
Certainly they were good times, I graduated and I was not close to engineering areas for much longer, neither in terms of training nor professionally, but I always have a special affection for it and it is an old memory of my childhood dream.
Well, reporting on personal things, I'm fine in general, my leg bothers me a little these days, but I have to say that today I'm better than other days, I plan to go out and buy some vegetables at the nearby fair and replenish what that we have consumed at home. I finally have the amount in Crypto to buy the cell phone :) Now I am looking for a store that accepts payment in crypto so that I do not have to change to fiat currency and complicate my life, in addition to that it does not attract me much, it spends in the commissions of change and the exchange differential does not seem pleasant to me either. Anyway, I hope to have a new cell phone in a few days. I wish you are well and we can read another time.

Día 594 desde la declaración de cuarentena en Venezuela por la pandemia de Covid19, gracias a la cuenta de la Bolsa de Valores me entero que es el Día del Ingeniero en Venezuela.
Tengo cierta cosa particular con la carrera de ingeniero, verás, de niño me planteaba ser ingeniero cuando creciera, me la pasaba jugando construyendo cosas y veía que los que dirigían las construcciones de los edificios, puentes y otras obras eran ingenieros, también me pasaba que veía películas de ciencia ficción y los que construían los prodigios de los científicos eran nuevamente los ingenieros, en fin, que como era curioso revisé en unas enciclopedias que tenía en casa la abuela y vi que había muchas áreas para la ingeniería, siendo la Construcción Civil y la de Computación las que me habían llamado la atención, en esa enciclopedia aprendí que también eran los ingenieros los que desarrollaban nuevos motores y vehículos, nuevos dispositivos eléctricos y circuitos, en fin una multitud de cosas. Esos viejos tomos de enciclopedias eran en esa época el equivalente a mi internet con motor de búsqueda funcionando.
Al crecer, descubrí que mi talento para los números eran mas bien mediocre, mi habilidad no calzaba con lo que había sido mi sueño de infancia, pero aprendí muchas cosas en el camino, luego, al ingresar a la Universidad, pasaron varias cosas de accidentes o destino y cursé una carrera de la que no sabia ni que existía, sin embargo la disfruté y la culminé con éxito. A pesar de eso, me la pasaba también por los lados de la Facultad de Ingeniería e hice unos pocos amigos por allí, de hecho, tengo en mi memoria el haber estado involucrado en el primer laboratorio de internet de la Escuela de Ingeniería básica, funcionaba en el edificio de Ingeniería Eléctrica y yo pasaba varios días de la semana metido allí de cabeza en 1996, si la memoria no me falla. No era el primer laboratorio de computadoras conectado a Internet en la Universidad, pero si era el primero que yo recuerde que estaba disponible para cualquier estudiante de cualquier escuela o facultad. Allí aprendí y practique con el viejo navegador de puro texto y pasé a navegadores icónicos, vi el ascenso de Netscape y me metí de lleno en aprender lo básico de los lenguajes de la red.
Ciertamente que fueron buenos tiempos, me gradué y no estuve mucho mas tiempo cerca de las áreas de ingeniería, ni en su aspecto de formación ni en lo profesional, pero siempre le guardo un cariño especial y es un viejo recuerdo de mi sueño de infancia.
Bien, pasando reporte de cosas personales, estoy bien en general, me molesta un poco la pierna en estos días, pero tengo que decir que hoy estoy mejor que otros días, pienso salir a comprar algunas verduras y hortalizas en la feria cercana y reponer lo que hemos consumido en casa. Tengo por fin el monto en Cripto para comprar el celular :) ahora estoy buscando una tienda que acepte el pago en cripto para no tener que estar cambiando a moneda fiat y complicarme la vida, además de que no me atrae mucho gasta en las comisiones de cambio y el diferencial cambiario tampoco me parece algo agradable. en fin, espero tener un nuevo celular en unos días. Te deseo que estés bien y nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.
