It's Friday, the work week is over, but I'm working from home, so it doesn't really make much difference to me. I have yet to leave the house in the afternoon to ask for the price of some materials that we need at home to do some repairs. I hope it doesn't start to rain again, because I don't dare go out in the rain, having recently gotten out of the discomfort that the most recent flu left me. I'm doing the day's record early, just in case something happens, or we're late getting home. In general, there is not much to talk about my daily #life, it is a normal day, generally calm and doing ordinary things.

Es viernes, ya termina la semana laboral, pero estoy trabajando desde casa, así que en realidad no me hace mucha diferencia. Tengo pendiente salir de casa en la tarde para preguntar por el precio de unos materiales que necesitamos en casa para hacer unas reparaciones, espero que no comience a llover de nuevo, porque no me atrevo a salir bajo la lluvia habiendo salido hace poco del malestar que me dejó la gripe más reciente. Estoy haciendo el registro del día temprano, por si acaso sucede alguna cosa o nos tardamos en regresar a casa. This date is celebrated in commemoration of the fact that it was on June 30 of 1953, that the first #Corvette leaves the Flint assembly plant in Michigan (USA). Although the prototype of this #car, the Corvette EX-122, had previously been presented at the 'Motorama' in New York in 1953, and the interest that it aroused among the public led to the start of manufacturing that same year, the 300 models corresponding to this first generation, were marked as products for sale in 1954.

Se celebra esta fecha en conmemoración de que fue en un el 30 de junio de 1953 que el primer #Corvette sale de la planta de montaje de Flint, en Michigan (EEUU). Aunque el prototipo de este #auto, el Corvette EX-122, había sido presentado previamente en el ‘Motorama’ de Nueva York de 1953, y el interés que despertó para el público hizo que lo comenzaran a fabricar ese mismo año, los 300 modelos que corresponden a esta primera generación, se marcaron como productos para la venta en 1954.

La evolución de esta línea de automóviles es algo que encuentro interesante, es toda una muestra de la evolución tanto del diseño industrial, del diseño automotor, del desarrollo de la tecnología mecánica, y también de los cambios en la estética y los gustos de la opinión pública, o el mercado de compradores, en lo que respecta a los carros. El deseo de mayor potencia y velocidad llevó a que en 1955 se pusiera la opción de pedirlo de fábrica con un motor V8, y resultó que el 90% de los pedidos de los nuevos clientes fueron con esta opción, eso llevó a Chevrolet a renunciar al motor de 6 cilindros en favor del de 8 cilindros.

Personally, I have a certain taste for the design lines of these cars, I admit that this has to do with memories of my childhood and my youth, because these sports cars were the dream of the children of my time. Nowadays, I still like it, but I am a long way from being able to buy a car from this collection, but dreaming is free and admiring the beauty of design costs me nothing (personal smile)

En lo personal, tengo cierto gusto por las líneas del diseño de estos autos, admito que eso tiene que ver con recuerdos de mi infancia y de mi juventud, pues estos carros deportivos eran el sueño de los niños de mi época. En la actualidad me sigue gustando, pero estoy muy lejos de poder comprar un carro de esta colección, pero soñar es gratis y admirar la belleza de diseño no me cuesta nada (sonrisa personal)
