I was definitely not prepared for this. It’s been a while since I went to the village, and before I went there, I was already prepared for what I knew I was going to be facing: no electricity, no good water, bed bugs, mosquito disturbances, and the worst thing was that I was going to spend 2 weeks, which is almost like 2 years for me.
So, I had to start planning for everything I was going to be needing for this battle, as it seemed to me. I planned a lot of things. I took a lot of things with me. But reaching the village, I was shocked. I was shocked to see the huge development that was going on in my village. It’s almost like the city.
I was shocked and had to ask a lot of questions. After I got my rest, I started inquiring about what was really going on because, for the past decade, this village was nothing but a living hell.
So, I was told that the village took it upon themselves to do what they had been waiting for the government to do for them for a long time. All this development was as a result of the collective contributions and support they had been making for the past month. They were building water pipelines and installing solar panels for electricity, grading our roads, and many more.
I was actually happy that this was happening in my village. I was able to stay for more than 2 weeks comfortably, and right now, going to my village doesn’t seem like a burden to me, but more like a vacation.
I came back very happy about it and decided to let the world hear the remarkable thing that is occurring in my village.
The unity I saw in my village can be compared with the way ants work together, tiny but pulling off a workload just by working together.
