Neddie Jacobs cabin is sitting on the square in Lebanon Tn. Edward “Neddie” Jacobs was born in Ireland about 1769. He was shipwrecked off the coast of North Carolina around 1779 and was taken in by the Indians, who reared him. He married an Indian girl in about 1785. When he was 18 years old, they left the Indians. After living in Carolina for a time, they joined a party of settlers bound for the Cumberland Country, probably in 1790 or 1794. They probably lived in Davidson County for some time building the cabin that stood by the great spring where the town of Lebanon was to be built. The cabin was built in around 1800. They did have a daughter. Before Neddy’s death, some of his wife's relatives or friends came to see her. She went away with them and never returned.
This is just a bit of the history. It would make a really long post to put the information I found so if you are interested just type it in the search as I did. (@cowboy is familiar with the area).
