One of my favourite places to relax. A small natural pool, with ice cold water; a mountain river straight from Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain in continental Portugal.
These were taken this year, on a brief weekend getaway; long were the days where I would spend most of my summer here. But it will always be a place where I feel at home. And this time, I only had time for a quick swim, admire the sunset, and take some photos of the little whirlwinds the water makes as it follows its way downstream.
I love the way flowing water looks on photos. It's great to capture the moment, even better with the right colours; the fading light gives it an extra touch.
The high trees all around don't let the sunset reflect on these little streams, that would have made even cooler settings! I still enjoyed the result of the little photoshoot nevertheless.
A flowing stream, a lazy afternoon... and any worries you might have... disappear! 馃檪
