Maybe not as thoughtfully as the lonely bird, but still. Because beyond that week, lies what will hopefully a blissfull period of dolce fare niente, a.k.a. vacations! So here's a #monomad challenge post, to remember what belongs in the past and in anticipation of what will come along soon.

Maybe the expression doesn't quite fit what I'll be doing during my leisure time, but there will certainly be large periods where I'll just enjoy being alive, bask at the sun, and clear my mind.

For sure, not in a paradisiac tropical beach somewhere in Asia, but... close enough. You see, there's no shortage of awesome beaches where I'll be spending a few days, and I plan to visit as many of them as I can.

But no doubt, there will be plenty of traces of ancient civilizations. Funny enough, the last country I visited also had amazing history and ancient buildings anda temples; and although I'm far more fond of nature and wildlife than ancient civilizations, I do enjoy learning about ancient cultures, and seeing the fragments of the past that still stand today.

Be it imponent temples and statues, or plain old buildings, I'll give them a look too.

Unless some wild critter appears and steals the show, of course! :)
