I was waiting eagerly for these days, and they finally came: vacations! And these have a special taste: it's been almost two years since I went abroad, thanks to the idiotic measures in place. And now that common sense seems to be coming back, time to resume one of my life objectives: visiting at least one new country each year!
But first, a visit to my grandparents home village, surround myself with nature, and revisit childhood friends!
In the summertime, when I was a kid, my afternoons were spent diving and swimming in the cold waters of the mountain rivers. There were countless spots, some larger, some narrower, where one could bathe. And today I had the opportunity to discover some new ones!
These ones are near another small village nearby, and I never knew they existed until recently. But since news travel fast nowadays, a visit was due. And the village did a great job in identifying the different spots, with clear signs.
If you want to have an idea just how clear the water is... just take a look:
Funny how there are still so many hidden gems in this part of the river. One thing doesn't change, no matter which spot you choose: the water is always cold! 馃榿 But I do like to dive in anyway, the weather is still warm and the warm rocks provide a great place to dry.
If you're lucky, you can even catch some wild berries on the way to the river!
Of course, visiting the places are already know is also a must. Besides, this one is probably one of the biggest spots to swim a little bit. Most of the spots allow you to bathe, but not much more.
Apart from visiting these great places, being able to meet friends I haven't seen for a long time feels just great. What better way to start vacations?
