Although I am allergic to bee stings, I still love the little critters.

Come and see in a video, also included here, what took place.

One bee sting sends me to hospital, and I will be no more if one hundred have to sting me, and it nearly happened here. In my eagerness to get the bees on video, I wandered a bit too close, and suddenly a tribe of soldier bees flew all around my head. The zooming sounds of their flight were terrifying to hear, and I really thought that the bees would start to attack me. I also know that if one starts to slap the bees away, it will only make them angrier and more determined to attack.

So, come and see what happened, and the first 3 photos will show you the hive's layout. Then you will see the video and one final shot before I cleared out of there.

An unedited video, and you will see the shaky parts when the soldier bees decided to come out and warn me.

I don't know what kind of a tree this is, but I presume that there has to be some sweet tree sap that drew the bees, as it is an old tree with a scar where a branch that had been severed from the trunk.

So, it was a dangerous situation, and it just goes to show that one should also take care in nature. I slipped up this time in my eagerness to get the bees on video, but thankfully I knew not to panic, and that all I had to do was to slowly back away. This is not a first time for me to take shots of a bee swarm, but in the past, I never took videos of it and this time I decided that I just had to take a video, shaky or not. Will I go back there to get another video? Not on your life, as one video is enough Lol.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
