I really thought that we would have a lovely clear day, but the day had other ideas.
So, I will show you some morning views (5 shots), and then some late afternoon shots (5 shots).
Unfortunately, I couldn't take any shots during the rest of the day, as we were tied up with a visit at one of the charity projects that Papillon supports. Earlier I hoped to get some sunset shots, but my hope was blown out of the window, as you will see in the second part of the post below.
Not only that, as we also had to stream the 11am memorial service for our dearest and beloved Lizelle that passed away recently. So, our tears resulted in a moody day of up and down emotions making their way through our minds. I never knew that Lizelle had so many friends, as people from far and wide attended the service, and each of the speakers related how Lizelle helped and loved them. Some of them also read out letters from people who knew Lizelle's love and spoke about how she was always there for them.
As I stepped out of our house this morning, a great view in the sky greeted me.
A swallow entered this shot below.
Oh yes, I saw the clouds and I should have known that they would gather at some stage in the day.
No chance of getting sunset shots with this lot below.
But let me tell you that I wasn't even unhappy, as I still saw beauty in each of the shots. Like the swallow that photo bombed the shot up top, this time it was a plane that photo bombed the shot. Look at those weird ripples in the clouds, and I think that they were trying to copy sand dunes in the desert.
What are we doing with the people around us, and also to strangers? Do we show them the light inside ourselves, or do we rather criticize them? What we have to realise is that if one criticises another then the same thing is inside ourselves. I sometimes hear people that want to impress me talking bad about somebody else, and I have the habit of stopping them immediately, unless they bring the person with that, they are criticising, and that has never happened.
None of us are perfect, and the way that Lizelle led her life of love for all, should be a role model for all of us, as our time on this planet will sooner or later run out, and what then? What legacy will we leave when we depart? I am not talking about riches here, as they are meaningless to us, but rather about revealing the riches that we guard so carefully in our hearts. We would rather swear a person or talk bad about a person instead of loving and forgiving them, as that same person that we treated badly will turn around and return the favor by talking bad about you.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
