Coconut kisses are a very traditional snack in my home country, Venezuela. This is a snack that even my grandmother, prepares us is as a kind of cookie with lots of grated coconut, is so delicious that I like big and guys and you can taste it alone or accompany with a glass of milk or a good Cappuccino. It is very easy to prepare and so from here leave the recipe so you dare to prepare them at home.
Ingredients:
2 small coconut grated.
3 cups of wheat flour.
1 ½ cup sugar muscabada or papelón.
2 eggs.
½ Cup water
2 tablespoons margarine.
1 teaspoon of baking soda.
2 tsp of baking powder.
5 spice Brads.
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 pinch of salt
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
In a pan place water, cloves spice brown sugar to make a syrup.
Cook over heat until the brown sugar is melted and forms a syrup. Let boil for one minute and then turn off.
Still hot, you must add the two tablespoons of margarine, stir until it melts.
Beat the eggs with a fork and add them to the syrup.
In a bowl add the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, pinch of salt and baking soda. Mix very well.
Once the syrup this warm, is placed in a bowl and add the grated coconut and mix. Wheat flour then joined little by little. The mixture will be a little lumpy.
In a greased you will place portions of the mixture with some separation, with the help of a spoon to put them into the oven for 25 to 30 minutes approximately
