Hi bloggers and food lovers, how are you today? Today I made some garlic bread using some leftover white bread I had at home. Since I was getting a little tired of sweet toast, I turned it into some delicious, fragrant, and savory garlic bread. Actually, it’s better to use a baguette because it’ll be crunchier, but since I only had white bread, let’s just make do with what we have. Okay, let’s get right to it
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of white bread
- 7 cloves of garlic
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp margarine
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 1 tbsp chili flakes
- sliced cheese
- cream cheese
Instructions:
- Melt the margarine in a pan
- Pour the melted margarine into a bowl or plate
- Add the grated garlic
- Add the parsley
- Crack 1 egg and add it to the bowl
- Whisk until well combined
- Add the chili flakes
- Stir again until well combined
Transfer to a wider plate
Set aside
- Prepare the white bread
- Spread cream cheese on top
- Top with another slice of white bread
- Cut the bread into 4 pieces, but don’t cut all the way through
- Place a slice of cheese in the middle of the other two pieces of bread
- Dip both sides of the bread into the garlic sauce
- Bake in the oven at 200°C for 40 minutes
- Remove from the oven and serve
