Feeling Good | Sentirse bien. Mi informe de Actifit: octubre 20 2026
In both life and sports, we have to control our emotions—or at least try to. Sometimes in life, when we’re feeling good, we say or do things we later regret. We commit to actions that we’re later unable to live up to. In sports, it’s exactly the same. Feeling good isn’t the same as giving it your all, in my opinion. This is even more true during training. Because obviously, in a competition, if you’re feeling good, you have to give it your all. Today was one of those days when the weather was perfect—it practically invited me to train—and all day long I was eager to do something. My cycling buddies all went out on their own, and I was left with nothing to do as the afternoon wore on. I put on my shorts, sneakers, and headphones, and went out for a jog. Man, did I feel good!
This time Zuni didn't come with me because she had her pole sports class, so I found myself running alone, completely absorbed in a podcast that also really inspired me. The goal was to run in Zone 2, and no more than 10 km. But as you’ll see, with over 20,000 steps, it turned out I ran a half-marathon. There are water fountains in various spots around Ezeiza, and those served as my hydration stops. As a cautious person, I always carry something to eat, and in this case, I had a small piece of quince paste, which was enough to help me reach my goal. I also brought a cereal bar, but luckily I didn’t even touch it. Running alone is, I think, one of the most effective forms of therapy there is. Many thoughts come to mind—the future, the present, the past. Laughter, and sometimes even a few tears that well up. That happens to me—maybe not to you—but honestly, it’s an activity where, once you’re done and standing under the shower, you just say, “Man, it’s really worth being alive.” A typical phrase used in Argentina.
I always say this, and I like to repeat it. Ezeiza is an ideal place to live, especially in the spring. I love it when the different shades of green start to catch your eye. People wearing lighter clothing go about their daily chores, and in some places, children play in the street. The parks fill up with families drinking mate and watching their children play on the swings. Even though October still feels very much like winter, you start to see the first signs of true spring. I love that.
After a long run like that, it’s obviously important to get some protein, and in my case, I also add a little creatine. Of course, this is a very personal choice and isn’t meant as any kind of recommendation. Four eggs with a small piece of cheese and a tomato cut in half should be enough for a proper dinner after a grueling long run. Still, after spending the weekend celebrating Mother’s Day, we’ve strayed a bit from our nutrition plan. But as my mother used to say, “Who’s going to stop you from dancing?”
When sports become a central part of your life, these moments are truly enjoyable, and you want to share them. Let’s keep moving and stay connected to sports, no matter what sport you enjoy playing.
Best wishes to everyone 🫂
