I infiltrated a guarded house by climbing through an upper window. Inside, I found crucial evidence connecting a perfume trader to local bandits. After fighting off several guards and an elite soldier in the streets, I cleared my notoriety and reported my findings to the delegate, and successfully completed the contract.
It looked like I was done taking care of all the guards, but still, I called Enkidu to be confirmed. Sure enough, there were no more guards inside these quarters, so it was time to start investigating around the area.
Through my eagle vision, I understood that there would be investigation materials inside this house, but the door below was barred. I looked up and found an open window on the floor above, so I went inside through that gap.
After getting inside, I started checking around the upper rooms. I found a transport routes ledger, but it did not provide enough confirm proof of a perfume trader. I decided to check the floor below to see what else was hidden.
Downstairs, I found a pot that I investigated thoroughly. With that discovery, I finally had all the proof I needed to connect the perfume trader to the bandits. My next step was clear, as I now needed to speak to the delegate to report everything.
I stepped outside and called my newly equipped mount, which was called Sand Horse. It was truly a one of a kind mount, but it was making me slow in navigating the narrow paths. So, I jumped off my horse and started running away on foot when there were guards on my trail.
My bounty posters were everywhere in this town, making stealth nearly impossible.
I ran through the streets looking for a way to clear my name. I found a man right when I needed him to remove my notoriety. But right when I was about to remove my notoriety, an enemy soldier spotted me and attacked me.
I took him down quickly, but more of his comrades were already closing in on my location. Before removing my notoriety, I decided to take these enemies down first, especially those who got the courage to attack me.
I took it slow while fighting these last two spearmen, although I found it quite fun fighting them in open combat. Suddenly, an elite soldier joined the fray and turned the tide against me. I took down the other two spearmen as quickly as I could, but this elite soldier almost took me down.
I even had to use all my health potions before finally taking him down. At last, I did it, and I took the b**** down for good.
With the street clear, I guessed it was time to remove my notoriety once and for all. My notoriety was simply too high to interact with this merchant or anyone else safely. So, I had to remove some bounty posters.
With my slate wiped clean, I went for the delegate and found him among some other people not so far away. Basim mentioned his suspicions were right on the nose, as the ledger and marked coins directly connected the perfume trader to the bandits.
The trade delegate greatly appreciated Basim getting the job done in a timely fashion, and the contract was officially completed after this encounter.
Until next time, happy gaming.
