...yours truly Orestis 🙂

Walking the streets of Athens one can collect an ultra wide range of images, enough to fill a magazine's annual content in a single day. I'm not in such a mission though as I run to meet some of my commitments but thought I might share a small bite with you.

I wouldn't be surprised if Athens has the most graffiti than any other European capital, not implying it's got the best ones though. Here's a couple of the latest ones around the corner:

Actually they are located at an underground pedestrian way hence the light was challenging. Unfortunately these are the best ones compared to the rest of the crap in that far from charming tunnel.

Back in the light of day on this late summer day (26C today) I spot this moody cat, probably a clear winner on a "leave me alone" cat contest:

You've probably read the news that people in Kiev live in darkness at nights to save precious energy. Here the local municipality doesn't even bother to switch off the lights during the day:

The above picture was taken at 10:26 am. At least they use led bulbs.

So, what happens after you walk a lot on a nice sunny day? Well, on any day regardless the weather you'll probably feel like having a bite on something. Fancy an omelette? Let's go back home.

I don't know how you guys chose to do the eggs but last year or so I came up with the most convenient way for me. You see, I have a whole stock of empty vases so...

Yep, I put my mix in there (those are cubes of cheese in case you wonder), shake them and when I'm done I rinse the vase before I recycle it. Simple and effective.

Want some sausage in it?

Cut and ready to go:

My lovely extra virgin organic olive oil shines on the pan:

And the bits of sausage jump in:

Did you notice they are "naked"? Well, I do peel them off indeed as their skin is their least nutritious/tasty part.

Want some potatoes?

Some mushrooms never hurt anybody right? At least as long as they are bought from the supermarket and not picked by a clueless guy in the forest:

I leave them to fry for a short while. A cover on the pan keeps the area clean, reduces the noise and saves energy.

Wouldn't it be nice to add some baby tomatoes and a bit of my spinach?

Their time to join the pan approaches so I slice them:

And it's time for the "alltogether":

I love how they complement the whole thing so nicely colour wise but also the end result taste wise.

Time for my eggs in the vase thingy:

And now the final touch with the egg mix in:

Bon Appetit, thanks for reading, see you on the next one!
