It was late, It was Warri.
Warri, a city located in southern Nigeria, commonly known for its citizen's audaciousness and impertinence (rudeness).
I had just come into the city for the first time, to my surprise I met a clean and organised town. Easy going and with more to offer than I could have ever imagined.
I had just taken a stroll around the University's premises located in the town (went hunting), then I saw this Cab Man shouting on top of his voice at a Young lady (probably a student, I taught)
Surprisingly no one paid them attention, and it was getting serious. I quickly walked up to them in efforts to settle the impending dispute.
Me: Hello sir, why are you shouting at her
Cab man: Are you mad?!!! Is it you I'm shouting for?
Me: No, I'm not! And you have to explain to me why you are shouting and abusing this young lady
Cab Man: Bros, I.. I.. I am not abusing her oohh
Girl: Bros, Mind your business, it is not your concern
Me(surprised): But....
Girl: I said mind your business!
At that moment I froze,
I'm sure if I had uttered more words, she would have replied with another reaction.
Me: ok, I'll go
Girl: Bye
Cab man: Bros, now you see, who is abusing the other ?
It seems I read the situation wrongly,
However as a Guy Man I needed to see how the quarrel will unfold, so I took to the edge and watched as they official began their Confession Movie.
Cab Man: Was it not you that said I should Do.
Girl: I said make it short, you took your time, now you'll have to balance me
Cab man: ahhh, shoooo. You entered my Cab without money, and said I should carry you around Town, when we got to Pipeline rd you said you have lost your money
Girl: Yes, and that's why I said you should Do in place of the fare, but you lasted for worth more than N1500 ($5)
Cab man: Was it not you that was screaming, Wasn't it pleasurable to you?
E sweet me, E sweet you
Girl: Bros, that doesn't concern me, balance me N7000 ($20) now, or I'll tumble you
Haha, the conversation was just heating up, before the cops showed up and took them away.
Finally, Warri was living up to the tales I was told, and this was only my first night.
