Some years back I was dating a girl who was fond of having bad mood swings. We could just be chilling and having a good time in each other's company and all of a sudden she'll frown and withdraw. When I speak to her she wouldn't reply, no matter how funny and playful the situation gets from then on she wouldn't laugh or join in the mirth.

This stuff always drove me crazy! Because I'm supposed to be a funny sweet guy who can hardly do any wrong, so how can you be anything but chill in my company?

Like you get how crazy it is? It was a mood switch from good to bad that just comes up without any provocation from me. I didn't have to make any wrong move or go with any poor choice of words, or anything of the sort. She just switches like that.

Her explanation was that females have a lot of hormones that take control away from them and just make them act certain ways, that it was not her fault.

I tried to tolerate it until one day we were at home having the greatest of times. Then I had to go buy snacks and things for us to dial up the greatness of the time we were having.

After buying, I was returning home with joy, proud of the snacks choices I made. I knew I got exactly the stuff that would make her happy. Only for me to get home and find her with one of the stiffest frowns ever.

I asked what the matter was, she wasn't forth coming. I told her to check out what I bought that it was the exact stuff she gets in bed with. She was just not interested.

I lost my cool at that point and said things like:

"We were so chilled just now, how could you be so pensive all of a sudden when I didn't even do anything?"

Then I also withdrew and didn't speak to her. After a while when she started to come around I told her that that should be the last time she had ever put up such a display in my presence when I haven't done anything. That the next time she does it I'm going to break up with her.

And, that was it, guys, we were together for at least two more years and she never ever did that again. Not even once!

I didn't even realize the change until after we had broken up. I was thinking about her one day and it just casually dawned on me that after that stern warning I never got to see her switch u on me like that again in all those years.

And since then I've never looked at women the same again. Because we've been told they have no control over things like these mood swings, and that it is something we have to deal with sometimes. The fact that this girl never did it again doesn't mean that all women have strict control over it, but my takeaway was that when the stakes are high enough women can curb that stuff.

And another take away is that they exaggerate how those mood swings make them feel, especially because they want to enjoy the pleasure that comes with seeing their man panic and make attempts to pacify them.

Further thought led me to believe that it was just female nature. I think females love to stress/inconvenience their men just for sport. Not anything really serious or evil, but mostly small inconveniences, just to have the man panic and try different ways to salvage the situation.

For example, a woman can open a jar perfectly well, but she'll make weak attempts, then give it to the man to help her out. Just to inconvenience him.

The most perfect manifestation of this phenomenon for me is when it comes to sickness. I wonder if anyone has noticed it too. In all my relationships I found out that when my girl is sick or in pain there are more moans, groans, complaints, and she wants me to help her do everything at that point. But it's not the same when I'm sick or in pains.

When I'm sick or in pains, I mostly downplay it, I don't moan and groan every chance I get. I try not to inconvenience her too much by making her do everything for me.

Men are definitely naturally stronger, and one is supposed not supposed to tell someone else how to react to their pains and stuff like that. I know all of these, but I also know, I'm dead sure that women get a kick out of exaggerating things like this just to see the man take it 😂😂.
