Today was actually a pretty nice morning, but the weather forecast called for a thunderstorm and quite a bit of rain in the morning, so my morning walk through the castle park followed by grocery shopping felt a bit like a race against the rain. It wasn’t quite as wild as it sounds, though. In the end, I made it home in a light drizzle, so all in all, my timing was pretty good. As usual, I’d already done my usual stretching exercises to warm up my muscles on the terrace of the treehouse beforehand. I did some breathing exercises and meditation for a short while on the shore of Luiseninsel, wished the queen a good morning, and marveled at—and photographed—the gathering clouds and the approaching bank of gray clouds. There was also something exciting to experience today in my treehouse after the rain. First, a northern flicker tapped on my bedroom window—I actually managed to spot it still perched in the tree—and shortly afterward, a formation of about a dozen police helicopters flew over the house; as I later read, they were on their way to a training exercise. You'll have to zoom in on the last picture to see the helicopters.

Heute war an sich ein ganz schöner Morgen, aber der Wetterbericht versprach ein Gewitter und einiges an Regen am Vormittag, und daher war mein Morningwalk durch den Schlosspark mit anschließendem Lebensmitteleinkauf ein wenig wie ein Wettlauf gegen den Regen. Es war aber nicht ganz so wild, wie es sich anhört. Am Ende bin ich mit leichtem Nieselregen zuhause angekommen, also hatte ich alles in allem ein ganz gutes Timing. Die üblichen Dehn- und Stretchübungen zum Aufwärmen der Muskeln hatte ich schon wie sonst auch vorher auf der Terrasse im Baumhaus erledigt. Atemübungen und Meditation dann etwas kürzer am Ufer auf der Luiseninsel, eben der Königin einen guten Morgen gewünscht und die sich zusammenballenden Wolken und die herannahende graue Wolkenbank bestaunt und fotografiert. Zudem gab es heute aufregendes nach dem Regen bei mir im Baumhaus zu erleben. Zum einen klopfte ein Buntspecht an mein Schlafzimmerfenster, den ich dann tatsächlich noch im Baum sitzend erwischte und kurz danach flog eine Staffel von rund einem Dutzend Polizeihubschraubern übers Haus, die wie ich später las, zu einer Übung unterwegs waren.
