The Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon in one of my favorite places to stroll around. With the Deschutes River running through the heart of it there is always a visual feast to be had. On this trip I decided to concentrate a bit on the many murals that grace the walls of the many retail bulidings and other structures in the area. This link will tell you more about the following artwork I highlighted here plus information on other murals in the Bend area. So scroll on and enjoy! 😀
The Colocasia Esculenta, 2020, Danny Fry
You Stole My Name, 2018, Dennis McGregor
According to the linked web site above these murals are from the book "You Stole My Name". I get the commonality of names in the last two pictures but not the first one. Any ideas?

This was created by community members during an event in downtown Bend.

Humans and nature celebrating the start of winter.
Untitled, 2015, Yuya Negishi
It was hard to capture the full effect of this mural.
Lastly an untitled work on a store front. It looks to symbolize the sun, mountain peaks and forests of our area.
