Sam and Cassandra had a very beautiful thing going on; their love and relationship were the talk of the town, everyone admired how much they loved each other and wished for something as good and as genuine as theirs. These days, it is believed that true love is hard to come by, but what Sam and Cassandra had going on had people believing otherwise. They did not try to hide each other or their relationship; they were proud of each other, and everyone, even singles and already adults, wished for something so beautiful, a partner with whom they could do lovey-dovey things together.

Not every man follows his girlfriend to the market as many sees that as a wrong thing to do but Sam does that and he sees nothing wrong with what he is doing as he sees it as one of the many ways to show his girlfriend love and support, even when his friends call him names he does not allow any third party to decide how he reacts or see things that concerns his relationship.

Sam was on his way to an eatery when he ran into Josh, his high school friend, but work and how Josh preaches against his relationship made him keep some distance between them.

"Hey, bro." Josh greeted as he relaxed on the driver's door of the car, seeing that Cassandra was not in the passenger seat, "ahhhhhhhh, I hope all is well?" Josh asked.

"Yes, all is well, bro. Why did you ask me that?" Sam asked, giving Josh a look

"Just that I did not see your other half in her usual position, and that is unusual, I just hope you don't get hurt by her because........" Josh was still talking when Sam interrupted.

"If she had intentions of hurting me, don't you think she would have done that already?" Sam asked.

"People earn your trust first before they do something extremely bad, something you least expect from them, which is why it hurts so much when they do it," Josh said

"You never liked and have always been like this. I wonder why I am even listening to you today," Sam said as he slapped his forehead

"I don't hate her, I am just trying to look out for you, bro, probably reduce how much hope and trust you have for her in case things go south, so that when they do, you won't break down." Josh advised, but the look on Sam's face showed that he had other intentions.

"I have heard all you said as usual, Cassandra said she will be working late, so I need to get dinner for us from the eatery on the next street. It was nice running into you and preaching against my relationship as usual," Sam said as he shook hands with Josh

On his way to the eatery, he kept asking himself questions like What if Josh is right? What if somehow Cassandra was cheating and taking advantage of his love and trust in her? What if he has been blinded by his love for her to the point of not seeing through her games? Sam had so many thoughts running through his mind and realised he was starting to drive wrongly, so he had to focus on the road and not get lost in his thoughts.

Sam got to the eatery and went straight to the counter to place his order.

"Sir, will your order be takeout or do you want to eat here?" The waiter asked.

"How can I eat such a large amount of food alone?" Sam said as he laughed, "Take out, please." He added

"Okay, sir, just look for a place to sit while we package your order." The waiter said as she got to work.

Sam looked for a seat but was shocked to see someone who looked like Cassandra at the far end of the eatery. He had to walk in that direction to be sure if she was not the one, but when he got close, he was shocked to see it was really Cassandra, and she was on a date with another guy.

"What are you doing here?" Sam asked with a tone, "Is this why you said you are working late so you have enough time with your other man?" Sam had so many questions to ask, but realised there was no point asking all of them as the look on Cassandra's face has all the answers, and he should have listened to Josh and and maybe seeing her cheat would not have caused him so much pain.
